REGIONAL AND SEASONAL HIGHLIGHTS

Frischer Kopfsalat mit Monschauer Senfdressing

Fresh lettuce with Monschau mustard dressing

Ingredients (4 servings):

1 lettuce
1-2 tomatoes
1/2 cucumber
1 small red onion
1/2 sweet pepper
3 tbsp Monschau mustard
2 tbsp white wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 tsp honey or sugar
6 tbsp olive oil or rapeseed oil
1 tsp lemon juice
50 g croutons
Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation 1:

Wash the lettuce thoroughly, tear into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.

Wash the tomatoes and cut into small cubes.

Peel the cucumber and cut into thin slices.

Peel the red onion and cut into fine rings.

Preparation 2:

Wash and deseed the peppers and cut into small pieces.

Place all the prepared ingredients in the salad bowl.

In a small bowl, mix the Monschau mustard, white wine vinegar and honey well.

Gradually add the oil, stirring constantly until a homogeneous mixture is formed.

Season to taste with salt, pepper and lemon juice.

Pour the mustard dressing over the salad and mix well so that all the ingredients are evenly coated.

Sprinkle with croutons to taste before serving.

Serve the salad immediately to savour the freshness of the ingredients.

We recommend serving with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
